Making a Start Screen Part 2 : The Concept

Idea
  • Genre
    • Street Racing
    • Police / Cops chasing Street Racers & Smugglers 


  • Tone & Feel
    • Highway in American At night.
    • Got nice scenery : Mountains, Trees. 
    • Got billboards and sign boards.
    • Got cars going by.
    • Mostly trucks and transportation vehicle.
    • At night a lot of illegal racing. Drag Racing.
    • Police scout and monitor the safety of the highway by hiding behind billboards. 

  • Content
    • How to present the start screen.
    • 16: frame. Resolution playing around 1080p or 720p.
    • Might have some animation.
    • Background music.
The animation will be added upon progress of the initial template. Plus, most Racing Games does not need any animation from its start screen.

More detailed elaboration of the project will come from further post.

  • My Job
    • I will frame the image.
    • I will set the tone and mood of the image,
    • If animation is place, I will determine which portion of image will be animated.
    • I will try to improve of the image in terms of 
      • Preparing and hyping player expectation.
      • Making it easy for player to understand and used the screen properly
        • The player should be to see the title and start screen at moment notice.

What it takes to make a Title & Credit Screen

Finding the best way to present a title and credits screen. The solution should be simple and elegant as must not get in the way in the creative process of the telling the story. Title Screen Should be done in a way to sell the idea of story or more importantly establish the mood, feel and pace of the story. Eg. Credit Screen I Credit screen as 2 things. There is one version where it is to allow the audience to absorb the story and its conclusion. An epic story that is told beautifully takes a good amount time to comprehend and swallow. Eg. After watching this 2 video above we can see that we need a few amount of time to stretch and realign ourself as our epic journey with the story comes to end.
