Redesigning the Credit Page

Stripping the unessential stuff. The goal is to inform the audience of the developer. They must get it the moment there is it. So I decided to remove the video and show the audience image the has the same purpose of the video. The redesign template. Below is the example of the credit page I plan to make. It look simple and easy to do. However, the message is cleanly delivered. We get it. In some cases we can even remember the images. Below is the credit page of Argo (2012). P.S. No Spoilers. Some can say our credit page can be parody or remake of the above credit page.

Game Plan to finish Credit Page

4 Week Plan  By end of the 4 weeks I would have a presentable credit page. Week 1 : Prepare the picture, and script the video for each worker.{ Programmer, Artist, Editor, Producer] Week 2 : Shoot the video. Week 3 : Edit it with Andrew. Feedback session with group and few others. Week 4 : Final cut and enhancement if necessary.

The Layout of Credit Page

How I would layout the credit page, that fits my requirement from my previous post. The photo will establish his looks and what is his name. The video [maybe a gif] and job description will correlate his contribution of the project also his personality. Technical details. Full frame = 16 : 9 aspect ratio with resolution of 1920 * 1080 Photo = 4 : 3 aspect ration with resolution of 4608 *3456 The background color maybe black as to bring audience to full focus on the images. Each Worker will get bout 8 seconds of screen time. We are looking at 4 workers which bring our credit page to estimate 32 seconds.

Credits Screen for Developers to Watch.

Making a credit screen the showcases the makers of the content. Lets make a credit screen where the viewers will actually appreciate amount of work needed to make the content and also can identify people who did it. Two Things. Amount of work. People involve. Tackling the issue. 1. Amount of work Lets show pictures of the progress of making the content. Maybe from Pre-Production to Post-Production. 2. People Involve Instead of putting the names of the developers which are meaningless to the viewer and only the developers and his people will appreciate. Lets showcase the developers personality and also work he/she contribute to the project. We can now identify with the developer and also understand what role he play on the project. This more important then putting bunch of people name on the screen which the viewer do not understand. Plus the viewer will appreciate the developer and effort put in to complete the project. Finding the best way to present a title and credits screen. The solution should be simple and elegant as must not get in the way in the creative process of the telling the story. Title Screen Should be done in a way to sell the idea of story or more importantly establish the mood, feel and pace of the story. Eg. Credit Screen I Credit screen as 2 things. There is one version where it is to allow the audience to absorb the story and its conclusion. An epic story that is told beautifully takes a good amount time to comprehend and swallow. Eg. After watching this 2 video above we can see that we need a few amount of time to stretch and realign ourself as our epic journey with the story comes to end. Therefore, playing the screen credits will allow us to recover from experience. There a credit screen's where audiences wants to find out what will happen now. After the story is over, the character got what he wanted all is well, we still want to see what happen to rest a...
